Tool · Vaccine policy

eMANDEVAL Future

Prospective analysis of vaccine-mandate policy designs.

The problem

Vaccine mandates are bundles of design choices, and public support, health benefits, and costs move together. Comparing designs "by eye" is difficult. eMANDEVAL lets users explore how design choices change predicted support and outcomes.

Intended users

Public-health policymakers, researchers, and partner agencies considering mandate designs.

Inputs and outputs

Users select mandate design features; the tool returns predicted public support, expected health outcomes, and benefit-cost comparisons across alternative designs.

Methodological basis

Predictions draw on preference estimates from discrete choice experiments on vaccine-mandate designs, developed within the MandEval programme of work.

Developer

Developed by Dr Mesfin Genie, Newcastle Business School, the University of Newcastle.

Limitations

Estimates are based on stated preferences and modelling assumptions and are intended to inform, not to determine, policy decisions.
